In 2026, citizens of Uzbekistan will receive additional days off in connection with the celebration of May 9 — the Day of Remembrance and Honor. Since this holiday falls on a Saturday, the day off will be moved to Monday, May 11.

Thus, for employees with a five-day workweek, three consecutive days off are предусмотрены: May 9 (Saturday, public holiday), May 10 (Sunday, day off), and May 11 (Monday, transferred holiday day off). 

For employees with a six-day workweek, the rest will last two days — May 9 and May 10.

These changes are approved by a decree of the President of Uzbekistan dated December 24, 2025, aimed at creating conditions for полноценный rest for citizens and the development of domestic tourism.
